Side fact mentioned by her: there’s growing evidence to suggest that omega 3’s are particularly essential in the week leading up to menstruation, either through diet or supplementation.
But this dip is of course not only for the ladies, it’s for everyone as omega 3 is healthy in general!
- 1 large tin/jar of Mackerel in Olive Oil (approx 150g) (roughly drained, but keeping a generous coating of oil)
- 300g silken tofu (or sub with equivalent natural yoghurt)
- 1 tsp capers
- 1 garlic clove (peeled)
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- A squeeze of lemon juice
- A pinch of salt,
- Lots of black pepper
Place all the ingredients into a large blender cup and blitz until smooth.
Either refrigerate, or serve straight away.

pickled beetroot and some sauerkraut.
